KnD Architects is a small Canberra practice working across the ACT and NSW. A director leads every project. We can take a project from first sketch to completion, or step in at the stage where you need us.

Architecture

We design new buildings, additions and alterations for:

  • Single residential: new homes, knock-down rebuilds, additions and renovations
  • Multi-residential and seniors living: townhouses and apartments, including NSW Class 2 buildings
  • Commercial and retail: shopping centres, offices, showrooms and commercial buildings
  • Food and beverage: cafés, restaurants, kiosks and drive-through restaurants

Documentation and delivery

Many of our commissions are the delivery phase of projects designed by others. We prepare detailed design, construction certificate and construction documentation, and support the builder on site. In NSW, Pav Dunski is a registered design practitioner (DEP0001677) under the Design and Building Practitioners Act, which covers Class 2 apartment buildings. Recent examples are Alaya Apartments in Mona Vale, The Chelton Apartments in Brookvale and Buttle Street in Queanbeyan.

Interiors and fit-outs

Cafés, restaurants, kiosks, offices and showrooms. We have worked on all of EQ Bakehouse’s Canberra venues, from cafés in Civic, Gungahlin, Majura Park and Brindabella Business Park to kiosks at Canberra Centre and Westfield Belconnen, as well as office fit-outs in Canberra City and Fyshwick.

CGI and visualisation

We produce CGIs for our own projects and for other people’s, including developers, builders and other architects. Use them for development applications, marketing and design decisions.

KnD Co-Lab Studio

For other architects who need an extra pair of hands. We can:

  • prepare DA packages and DA updates
  • produce construction documentation in your templates
  • produce CGIs for your projects

We can support you on an ongoing basis, one commission at a time, or take a commission over fully.

  1. We start with a conversation about the site, brief, budget and timing.
  2. We send a fee proposal with a clear scope and stages.
  3. A director leads the project through design, approvals and documentation.
  4. We stay involved during construction to keep the outcome on track.
